We Used An Entire Film Crew For This!!! | Non-Fungible Planet from YouTube

  • Publicado el 10 abr 2022
  • We’re Sailing La Vagabonde and exploring our Non-Fungible Planet by heading to Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas. It’s a natural phenomenon and we’re gonna free-dive into its depths to check out its link to acid rain and pirates! Plus we’re gonna check out the ecosystem living there - from shrimp to blind fish - and get up close and personal with some sharks. It’s all part of Earth Day: Non-Fungible Planet from ESclips.
To make sure we protect our non-fungible planet, support WWF in building a more resilient ocean and protecting marine wildlife at www.worldwildlife.org/initiat... .

This is meant as a compliment: I learn just as much from your occasional voice-overs within vlogs as I did from this very (relatively) produced adventure-lesson. Extra points for the tiny but hilarious sound effect at 4:52

Wonderful video! In simple words - everything’s connected on this planet in some way. It makes me extremely sad to see a dead reef or garbage floating all over the world in our oceans. Without water there is no life and we have to do our very best to protect it - our future depends on it. Thanks so much for sharing this content; well done!

Loved the episode. An interesting change from your other videos. I know you like science so just an FYI … humans actually have at least 14 sensory systems, including the EM sense sharks have that was mentioned. The difference is in the intensity of stimulus it provides to moderate our behaviours. Please don’t stop with the environmental messages … your blog shows we need to do better.

If we're to have a sustainable future it will require a healthy environment and a healthy society. The good news is that such a state of affairs would be economically superior to anything we've done so far by some orders of magnitude. Of course the bad news is we may not make it, but if we do it will be a universally prosperous future. I suspect the results of that transition, either way, will happen well within your lifetimes.

A wonderful presentation -- especially for the many humans who may never see such a beautiful place called the Blue Hole.
The part about Yogis and Zen as a part of the diving prep made me think about risk -- that some humans must genetically have the ability to push past their fear in pursuit of such goals. It is interesting to me because I believe I am the opposite, always seeking to avoid risk and I don't believe any amount of training could help me to overcome those limitations. Very interesting!

    • Marc Wanagas
Marc Wanagas Hace 5 meses +1

@MC Blakemore it depends on what risk you are talking about. To me, it's the risk of minor physical injury that I try to prepare for vs death of the spirit and risk of regrets and "what ifs".

I worked in Special Effects in Hollywood before I retired and always wished I could own a sailboat (I learned to sail dingys in the San Diego Harbor when doing my sentence in the Navy, but not much sense then). You are a good editor but I miss the old stuff you use to do, exploring cultures, and discussing histories.
